    The original expression of Glenmorangie's elegant, floral, spirit that is renowned for exquisite finesse and alluring complexity. The Original is the intriguing marriage of delicate spirit and long slow maturation.
     
    Pale lemony gold colour. Notes of mandarin, lemon, apple, pear and peach tree. Add to this the scents of vanilla ice cream, and enjoy the herbal aromas of geranium and wild mint.

    Add water to The Original and you have the experience of being in a flower garden with lemony bergamot, apricot and mandarin. Floral notes of geranium, sweet honeysuckle and piquant narcissus mix with mint and the herbal essence of eucalyptus, nutmeg and ginger. 

    Savour the fruits of the Italian garden as creamy vanilla slips like liquid silk over the tongue as peaches and cream, mandarins and lemons effervesce in the mouth.

    Aromatic essences of fennel and nutmeg tantalise with crumbly almond and coconut that gives way to a nectar that envelops all the fruit, spice and nut flavours in a honeyed caress.

    The charming sweetness of delicious juices is left on the tongue. Quite simply one of the most delicate and deliciously complex single malts.

    Background Information:
    In 1843 William Matheson granted a licence to distil and the Glenmorangie Distillery Company was established. Beautifully seductive and deliciously captivating, Glenmorangie single malt Scotch whisky is an irresistible feast of taste, texture and aroma. 

    At the core of the distillery is a small group of men, with immense skill and enviable knowledge; The Sixteen Men of Tain still follow the mystical art of turning barley and mineral-rich, Tarlogie spring water into the famously complex and elegant whisky. 

    The Glenmorangie Company was founded in 1843 by Roderick Macdonald and Alexander Muir as a wine and spirits company. Today, the company is one of the most famous and well respected Scotch whisky distillers and marketers of premium Scotch whisky brands worldwide.

    The Company is an intriguing mixture of the past and the future; producing its range of malt whiskies using traditional methods.
