    Introduction:
    Every Grand Vintage is unique, original, and expresses the Cellar Master's free, personal interpretation to reveal the exceptional personality of singular vintage years. The Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage spirit is founded on three essential values: freedom of interpretation, selection of the year's most remarkable wines and individuality of the vintage. 

    Grand Vintage champagnes distinguish themselves with their maturity, complexity and charisma. 2013 is the 75th Grand Vintage.

    Tasting Notes:
    The wine's maturity is immediately apparent, with autumnal notes of roasted chestnuts, toasted buckwheat, honey and nougat.

    Concentrated fruit aromas are then revealed, like a lemon preserved in salt or a perfectly ripe nectarine. A note of dried flowers completes the aromatic bouquet.

    The palate is direct and energetic, supported by lively yet delicate acidity, and a finely polished structure. The wine finishes with a pleasant hint of white grapefruit bitterness.

    Vintage 2013:
    Whereas the first decade of the 21st century brought record early harvests, 2013 saw the grapes ripen in October, a lateness unseen since 1991. In fact, the entire growth cycle, from bud break to harvest, was delayed by two to three weeks due to the cold and wet weather. The challenge was to achieve a maturity that complied with the standards required in Champagne whilst also keeping the vines in perfect health. In this context, moderate volumes and meticulous sorting enabled a balance between sugar and acidity that exceeded our expectations.
