Introduction:

In 2019, the Tasting Committee of Billecart-Salmon embarked on a comprehensive re-evaluation of the core elements of the Brut Sans Année cuvée. Now, after five years, the results are debuting in the market with the 2020 base.

Key Transformations:

1. AGEING TIME

Extended ageing on lees, increased from an average of 30 months to 50 months.

2. DOSAGE

Reduced dosage (extra brut, 3g/l) for greater purity and expression of terroir.

3. RESERVE WINES

More depth with 15 different vintages in the bottle.

4. VINIFICATION

Larger proportion of wines vinified in barrels, adding richness and density.

5. SECOND WINE CREATION

Introduced to further elevate the quality across the entire range.

Tasting Notes:

Le Réserve is a light, fine and harmonious champagne. It is made up of a blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier from three different years and sourced from the best sites in the Champagne region.

Hints of straw yellow are distinguished by the finesse of slowly rising bubbles and a persistent, plentiful mousse. Overall, the cuvée conveys a luminous radiance that evokes a sparkling youthfulness.

An ethereal character, displaying clean and precise intensity, followed by a pure expression of bright, natural fruit. With aromatic precision (white stone fruits and fresh fruits), this wine evolves into delightful florals and subtle biscuit.

The subtle pleasure of its delicate texture is complemented by a fine vinosity and concentrated aromatics. This wine captivates with its harmonious blend of enticing flavors (apple, crisp pear, and citrus) and roasted notes. A long, persistent finish marked by freshness and minerality.
